Who Am I?
My name is David Grahn. I currently study Game Programming at The Game Assembly in Malmö, but I also have a bachelors degree in Computer Science with specialization in Game Development from Malmö University.
In my freetime I take care of my cat and plants, play a variety of videogames, or go for long walks.
I also enjoy taking photos, some of which can be found here.

What are my experiences?
Throughout my educations I’ve gained insight and experience regarding technical and creative aspects of game development.
I’m mostly experienced in C++ from working in the our school’s engine as well as developing our student made game engine.
I’ve also gained experience programming in C# and working in XNA as well as the Unity Game Engine.
In both of my educations I’ve worked in an agile workflow. I’m used to working in an iterative manner and receive feedback to improve my results.
I’ve also gained novice experience working with a network architecture, graphics programming, SQL and Kotlin.
In previous jobsites and education projects I’ve been both team leader and project coordinator. When work needs to be done or decisions need to be made I don’t hesitate to take a step forward and take the charge with quick decision making. That being said, I’m also willing to take a step back if needed.
More than a team leader though, I am a team player. I make sure that everyone feels included. If someone seems to be feeling down, I try to check up on them and see how they’re doing. If somebody has a question or there’s an issue at hand I won’t hesitate to pause my current workflow to be of service.
I’m also very interested in Game Design. I’ve been trying to better myself at designing and learning what works in good games, as well as the times when the design isn’t working.
The projects I’ve worked on throughout both my studies and freetime can be found under the Projects tab.
What inspires me?
I find inspiration in both cinema and video games. When I watch a movie or play a game I tend to notice the amount of passion the creators have put into it. Some of my biggest inspirations are Hades (2020), Breath of the Wild (2017), Stardew Valley (2016) and basically the majority of the movies of Studio Ghibli. They make me want to create something and put my own passion into it.
